This year, we’re turning the spotlight on a tradition that’s as fun to say as it is to celebrate: Dyngus Day, taking place on Monday, April 1st, from 11 am to 11 pm.
What's Dyngus Day, you ask?
Śmingus-Dyngus as it is known in Poland, or Wet Monday (Lany poniedziałek), is a Polish holiday celebrated on the Monday after Easter. The festive spirit of Dyngus Day is infectious, with traditions including playful water fights, tapping loved ones with pussy willows, and, of course, the indulgence in Polish food, beer, and spirits. It’s a day filled with laughter, good food, and community spirit!
